Philadelphia Marathon breathes easy with Gore-Tex deal

Breathable fabric brand Gore-Tex has signed on to become the title sponsor of the Philadelphia Marathon.

The Delaware-based brand will pay US$600,000 over a three-year term according to local reports.

The next edition of Philadelphia Marathon is on the event's 20th anniversary. Like many marathons around the world, the organisers are building it out into a multi-day 'festival'.

The anniversary event will take place from 15th to 17th November this year and the marathon itself should have around 30,000 participants.
