Parker added to Peak’s endorsement roster
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker (right) has reportedly signed a new personal endorsement deal with Chinese sportswear brand Peak.
According to reports in numerous online news outlets, the 30-year-old Frenchman has left Nike to join fellow NBA stars Jason Richardson, Metta World Peace, Shane Battier, JaVale McGee and Mickael Pietrus on Peak’s roster of endorsers.
The deal is said to be worth between US$2.6 and $4 million annually to Parker, compared to the just over US$1 million he received to wear Nike's shoes.
Peak has been making inroads into the US basketball market in recent months through individual player contracts and partnerships with NBA franchises such as the Toronto Raptors and the Houston Rockets.
