Recently relegated Italian soccer side Palermo have announced Sicily by Car as their new main sponsor for one year.
The agreement will see the local car rental company’s logo adorn the front of the Serie B outfit’s playing shirts for the duration of the 2017/18 season.
Sicily by Car will also benefit from a prominent brand presence throughout the club’s Stadio Renzo Barbera home ground and on their digital channels. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Tommaso Dragotto, president of Sicily by Car, said: “Supporting the city of Palermo is for me a due act and for Sicily by Car, a reason for great pride. The decision to sponsor the team goes far beyond the obvious motives of visibility and promotion. The team just needs our moral support to prove the facts.”
Palermo finished 19th in Serie A in 2016/17, ending their three-year stint back in Italy’s top flight. They kick off the new Serie B campaign at home to Spezia on 26th August.
