National Basketball Association (NBA) outfit the Indiana Pacers have entered into a multi-year sponsorship agreement with Wagner Reese.
The Indianapolis law firm will be the official injury attorneys of the Pacers with immediate effect. Under the terms of the deal, it will have courtside signage, collaborate on radio advertisements and will sponsor the team’s pre-match injury reports.
"We are excited to add Wagner Reese as a new partner to our sponsor roster,” said Todd Taylor, the Pacers’ senior vice president. “Teams make improvements on the court with trades and through the draft. It's the same on the business side; we added something special with Wagner Reese. Steve [Wagner] and Jason [Reese] have built a great hometown business and we look forward to helping them to continue to grow."
Steve Wagner, a partner of Wagner Reese, added: "Growing up in Indianapolis, I've been a Pacers fan my entire life. From Wayman Tisdale to the Davis brothers to Paul George and the current crew. I actually named my parakeet after Tisdale when I was 16."
During the close season the Pacers - despite qualifying for the 2015/16 end of season play-offs - announced that head coach Frank Vogel's contract would not be renewed, and assistant Nate McMillan was promoted as his replacement. The Pacers currently stand fifth in the NBA's Eastern Conference with a regular season record of 20-18.
