New names for World Snooker tournaments
World Snooker has announced the title sponsors for two upcoming tournaments, the Snooker Shoot-Out at Blackpool Tower Circus and the Welsh Open at the Newport Centre.
The first agreement sees PartyPoker.com sponsoring the UK£32,000 Snooker Shoot-Out, a one-frame knockout tournament scheduled to run from 27th to 29th January at Blackpool's Circus Arena.
The second of World Snooker's deals sees the Chinese division of online casino 888.com sponsoring the Welsh Open, an event scheduled to take place from 8th to 11th February. One of the longest running ranking events on the snooker calendar, under the new title sponsorship deal the tournament will be officially known as the 888çœŸäººWelsh Open.
