New Jersey Nets secure Chinese sponsors
The New Jersey Nets have secured two more sponsors for the 2009/10 season, with Agricultural Bank of China and Yili, a China-based dairy company, signing on with the NBA team.
The companies join four other China-based companies backing the Nets, namely Peak, Sina Corporation, Haier, and Nike China.
"We continue to evolve as an international business and we are proud to welcome Agricultural Bank of China and Yili into our China-based corporate family," said Nets chief executive Brett Yormark. "We are also pleased to extend our relationships with our four China-based corporate partners from last season. With the popularity of our player Yi Jianlian, and with 49 Nets games to be viewed in China this season, the business community of China recognises the value in becoming a Nets corporate partner."
Dunhao Yang, the chief executive of Beijing Womei Advertising Co, added: "We are very proud to work with the Nets and to help them continue to build a significant partner base with companies in China."
Soon after acquiring Yi, the Nets made their Web site, www.njnets.com, viewable in both simplified and traditional Chinese characters.
