The Asian Le Mans Series has agreed broadcast deals with ESPN Star Sports (ESS) and Eurosport Asia-Pacific.

ESS will broadcast highlights from the endurance motorsport series - set to launch in 2013 - across its television, internet and mobile platforms in its 24 markets. This will include video-on-demand content. Eurosport will show six 26-minute magazine programmes throughout the inaugural season in 17 countries, including South Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia.

Eurosport is also looking into the possibility of broadcasting some or all of the six three-hour races - which will be held across China, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia - live or on tape-delay.

Mark Thomas, the executive director of S2M and promoter of the Asian Le Mans series, said: "We’re very proud to have ESPN STAR Sports and Eurosport on board as broadcasters of our championship in what is its first season. In 2013, the power of these networks will guarantee excellent coverage of our series. Through them all motor racing fans will be able to follow this rapidly expanding championship, and our teams and partners will benefit from fallout in keeping with their investments."
