New Arsenal partner takes the Premier League to Japan
MP & Silva, the leading international sports media company which signed a new partnership with English soccer club Arsenal this week, will take the Premier League to Japan after securing a three-year partnership with England's top tier.
The agency has secured exclusive 'Live Package' audiovisual rights of the Premier League from the 2010/2011 to 2012/2013 seasons in Japan, including live transmission, delayed, repeat and on-demand transmissions, as well as highlights and magazine programmes.

"The Barclays Premier League is one of the world's most sought after properties and thus we are really pleased with our partnership with the Premier League to bring the world's best football action to Japanese fans," said MP & Silva chief executive Andrea Radrizzani. "As one of Asia’s most populous countries and largest economy, Japan remains a key market in the region, and we are looking forward to bringing world class excitement and entertainment matches to Japanese audiences."
Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore added: "We are pleased to welcome MP & Silva as our new partner for Japan, and are confident that they will distribute all the best Barclays Premier League action in a comprehensive and innovative manner."
Earlier this week MP & Silva was appointed by Arsenal to distribute its television channel globally.
