NBA’s Kings sign up first Indian partner
National Basketball Association (NBA) team the Sacramento Kings have signed a partnership with The Krrish Group, an Indian real estate company.
The Kings are owned by Indian-born Vivek Ranadive (left in picture), who previously revealed plans to build the team's brand internationally.
The Krrish Group will use the sponsorship to promote its own franchise tie-up with Jimboys Tacos across the Sacramento area.
"I am thrilled that The Krrish Group shares our global vision and sees the economic potential of a partnership with the Kings,” Ranadive said.
“Given the increasing popularity of basketball and the Kings in India, we hope that this will be the first of many important business partnerships from the region. As we strive to become India's home team, we are proud to call The Krrish Group and Jimboy’s Tacos our partners."
No financial details were revealed but Prakhar Gupta, the vice president of business development for The Krrish Group, added: “With a dynamic and fast growing business portfolio, we see our partnership with Jimboy’s and the Kings as a perfect opportunity.”
NBA games are regularly broadcast in India, with the league working in partnership with Multi Screen Media's Sony Six in the country.blog comments powered by Disqus
