The National Basketball Association (NBA) and Zignia Live have announced the slate of games for the league’s 2018 international series in Mexico City will feature the Orlando Magic, Chicago Bulls and Utah Jazz.
The Magic will play two games in the Mexican capital, firstly against the Bulls on 13th December and then the Jazz on 15th December, both at the Arena Ciudad de Mexico. The games mark the third consecutive season of the preeminent US basketball league taking two regular-season games south of the US border and will take the total number of NBA games played in Mexico to 28.
As part of the announcement, the NBA and Zignia Live have also signed a multi-year partnership to collaborate on future games in Mexico.
The ‘NBA Mexico City Games 2018’ will be broadcast live by ESPN and on NBA League Pass International.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver, said: “Returning to Mexico City for two regular-season games this season reinforces our commitment to growing basketball in Mexico and Latin America.
“NBA teams have been playing in Mexico for more than 25 years, and the Bulls, Jazz and Magic organisations are excited to continue the tradition of bringing the live game experience to our passionate Mexican fans.”
