Nationwide drivers boosted by new backers
2011 Nascar Nationwide champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr has received additional sponsorship for the 2012 season in the form of Sam’s Club and its Member’s Mark Angus Beef and Castlewood Reserve brands.
Having served as the primary sponsor of Stenhouse Jr’s Nationwide No.6 entry at last weekend’s Feed the Children 300 in Kentucky, Sam’s Club and its brands will also support the driver at Indianapolis in July and at Kansas in October.
“I am thrilled to have Sam’s Club back on our Mustang this year,” said Stenhouse Jr. “Cargill has been a huge supporter of our No. 6 team the past two years. We hope to bring recognition to Sam’s exclusive brands of Member’s Mark Angus Beef and Castlewood Reserve by putting them in victory lane.”
Elsewhere, Stenhouse Jr’s fellow Nascar Nationwide driver Blake Koch has received backing for this weekend’s Subway Jalapeño 250 at Daytona from precious metals purchasing service SilverSaver, which will serve as primary sponsor, and from apparel brand Salt Life, which will take up an associate sponsor position.
"I'm so pumped to be racing at Daytona next month in the SilverSaver No.82 Dodge," said Koch. "It's great to have a new sponsor like SilverSaver on board for the race. They are the ones making it possible for me to race and I couldn't be more thankful for their support."
Commenting on the separate deal with Florida-based Salt Life, Koch said: “I’ve been endorsing Salt Life for years, and it’s a brand I love and believe in. I’m so excited to have them on my car for Daytona as an associate sponsor.”
