US stock car racing team Hendrick Motorsports have agreed a two-year deal with Hertz Corporation.

The car rental company will serve as a primary sponsor of William Byron for four points-paying races over the next two seasons.

The team release did not indicate which races the company would sponsor, but did state that Hertz will also adorn Byron’s number 24 Chevrolet for this weekend’s All-Star Race events.

Hertz, which runs the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty car rental brands, will also serve as an associate sponsor with the number 24 team.

Jodi Allen, chief marketing officer of Hertz, said. “This is a perfect partnership. Hendrick Motorsports has a proven legacy of winning in an incredibly popular and iconic sport.”

The Hendrick Motorsports team has also partnered with SunEnergy1. This weekend's Nascar Cup Series Open race will be the first of four races when the solar energy company serves as the primary sponsor for Chase Elliott’s number nine Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, with the company’s branding adorning the car’s hood.

Meanwhile, restaurant chain Caddy’s will be a primary sponsor for Premium Motorsports driver Ross Chastain’s number 15 for the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series’ Coke Zero Sugar 400 race at Daytona International Speedway.

To celebrate the partnership, Premier Motorsports will provide Caddy’s with a number 15 Caddy’s-themed show car, which will be displayed in front of each of the Caddy’s establishments on specific dates.
