Nascar outlines Canadian plans for 2013
Nascar's Canadian division has unveiled its plans for the 2013 season, announcing partnerships with four companies.
Nascar Canada, a partnership between Nascar and Canadian broadcaster TSN designed to stimulate the growth and commercialisation of Nascar in the country, has renewed deals with Canadian Tire, Dodge, Pinty's Delicious Foods and Toyota.
Canadian Tire remains the official automotive retailer of Nascar in Canada and the title sponsor of the Nascar Canadian Tire Series. Dodge is the official vehicle of the Canadian Tire Series, while Pinty's has the designation 'official wingman of Nascar in Canada'.
Toyota's partnership revolves around broadcast sponsorship of segments during TSN's live coverage of the Nascar Sprint Cup series.
Ian Charlton, managing director of Nascar Canada, said: "Our relationship with these marquee brands is a testament to Nascar's popularity and significance on the Canadian sports landscape.
"In addition, their involvement with Nascar Canada enables us to give fans even more opportunities throughout the season to get involved with Nascar and experience stock car racing like never before."
Meanwhile, Joe Gibbs Racing has secured associate sponsorship from tool manufacturer Ingersoll Rand for Elliott Sadler's car throughout this year's Nascar Nationwide Series.
