The Professional Golfers' Association (PGA) of America has announced new sponsorship agreements with National Car Rental and cleaning company Jani-King and an extension with apparel manufacturer Cutter & Buck.

The first agreement sees National, formerly the official car rental company of the PGA Tour and Champions Tour, join the organisation as part of a three-year deal that entitles the company to marketing rights around the PGA Championship, the Ryder Cup, the Senior PGA and the Grand Slam of Golf.

The second of the PGA of America's deals sees Dallas-based cleaning company Jani-King, formerly a long-term partner of the PGA Tour, signing a five-year deal with the organisation in order support PGA Player Development initiatives. Additionally, like National, Jani-King will have a range of marketing rights around the organisation's most prestigious tournaments as well as a presence at the PGA Merchandise Show.

Finally, marking the 13th year of its partnership with Cutter & Buck, the PGA of America has extended its agreement with the upscale clothing company to continue as the lead apparel partner for the PGA of America's events through 2017.

Although financial details of the agreements were not released, Sports Business Journal (SBJ) is reporting that 'PGA sponsorships go for about seven figures annually, according to industry insiders.'
