MP & Silva has inked an agreement with the Argentinian soccer club Boca Juniors to take the club on tour to Australasia in July 2010.
As part of the tour itinerary, MP & Silva has arranged for La Azul y Oro to take on the A-League Championship runners-up, Melbourne Victory, at Etihad Stadium, in Melbourne on 16 July.
"Boca Juniors is not just a football club, but an international sporting institution that has launched the careers of some of the world's best players, including the illustrious likes of Carlos Tévez, Fernando Gago, current Boca star, Juan Román Riquelme, and Argentinian legend, Diego Maradona, so we are absolutely thrilled that we will be hosting Boca Juniors," said Geoff Miles, the chief executive of Melbourne Victory. "The match promises to be a real spectacle for the fans, and we are confident that a strong Melbourne crowd will attend this feature match."
The Boca Juniors Australasia Tour 2010 also marks the second partnership between MP & Silva and Melbourne Victory after the two entities collaborated successfully on the Melbourne leg of the Juventus Asia-Pacific Tour in 2008.
