Montréal Canadiens score broadcast deal

The Sports Network (TSN) has been confirmed as the official English-language regional broadcaster for National Hockey League (NHL) side the Montréal Canadiens.

Under the terms of the new agreement, TSN will broadcast all of the Canadiens’ regular and post season games in their designated broadcast region, which spans Eastern and Northern Ontario, Québec, and Atlantic Canada from the start of the 2017/18 NHL season.

TSN’s sister network Réseau des Sports (RDS) will continue to be the French-language home for the Montreal franchise’s games.

Meanwhile, TSN 690 Montréal also renewed its full radio broadcast rights as the team’s official English-language radio voice.

“It is with great pride that we welcome the Montréal Canadiens back to TSN with an expansive slate of marquee games,” said Stewart Johnston, president of Bell Media Studios and TSN. “The addition of the Canadiens to our schedule broadens even further our strong NHL hockey offering and is yet another example of the breadth and depth of our programming roster.”
