Monster deal for Mid Ohio race track

Monster Energy has been named the official energy drink of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The multi-year deal will ensure the energy drinks brand has a presence at all events at the venue, starting with the Diamond Cellar Classic in June. The highlight of the season is expected to be a Nascar Nationwide Series race.

“We’re pumped to expand our motorsports footprint to include one of America’s great road courses," said Monster Energy's Eric Johnson.

"Congratulations to Mid-Ohio on securing the Nascar Nationwide Series and we can’t wait to get things rolling there in 2013."

Craig Rust, the venue's president, added: "Monster will bring a lot to the table for our fans and facility."
