MLS Earthquakes agree two radio deals
Major League Soccer (MLS) side the San Jose Earthquakes have renewed their radio deals with 1590 KLIV and 1370 KZSF “La Kaliente” for English and Spanish coverage respectively.
The deal will see both stations provide coverage of all 34 Quakes games in 2013. The agreement marks the fourth successive season that La Kaliente will partner the team, while KLIV has renewed for its second straight season. No financial terms were announced.
“For the second straight year, we are offering our fans all games on the radio in both English and Spanish,” said Earthquakes president David Kaval. “We are also proud to be working with two locally owned broadcasters that are focused on San Jose. KLIV has been the news leader in Silicon Valley for many years and KZSF has a long tradition of airing local sports.”
San Jose’s 2013 MLS season gets underway with a home game against Real Salt Lake on Sunday 3rd March.
