Middlesbrough have entered into a three-year commercial agreement with Coral on the eve of the new English soccer season.
The bookmaker will have a strong brand presence at the English Football League (EFL) Championship side’s home stadium, the Riverside, and on their social media channels, as well as receiving a package of matchday advertising opportunities.
The financial terms of the deal, which runs until 2020, were not revealed.
“We are delighted to be forming this exciting partnership with Middlesbrough Football Club as they embark on their mission to return to the Premier League,” said Simon Clare, Coral’s public relations director. “It promises to be an exciting season ahead for the club and we would like to wish the manager, the players and all the fans the very best of luck.”
Lee Fryett, head of partnerships at Middlesbrough, added: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Coral. Coral are one of UK’s leading betting and gaming brands and we are excited to be working closely with them to bring their service to our fans on a matchday at the Riverside Stadium, as well as a number of exclusive fan offers and promotions throughout the season”.
After finishing 19th in the Premier League in 2016/17, Middlesbrough were relegated to the second-tier of English soccer. They begin their 2017/18 Championship season on 5th August when they entertain Wolverhampton Wanderers.
