Mexican Football Federation signs new shirt sponsor
The Mexican Football Federation (MFF) has announced that tortilla brand Maseca will serve as the new shirt sponsor of the Mexican national soccer team until 2014.
The Maseca logo will debut on the front of the Mexican national team's shirts during a friendly against Venezuela in Houston, Texas on 25th January.
Future events covered under the Gruma brand's sponsorship include the 2013 Confederations Cup, the Concacaf Gold Cup, qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil as well as various international youth team competitions.
"This support for the national team is in line with the global strategy of the company and the philosophy of its president, Roberto Gonzalez Barrera, always promote sport, health and nutrition," said Gruma Latin America and Mexico director Roberto Gonzalez Alcala.
Financial terms of the agreement were not released.
