Australian soccer side Melbourne Victory have agreed to extend their partnership with AGL Energy for an additional two years.
The energy supplier will continue to be the naming rights partner of the A-League club’s Victory in Business sporting networking group, as well as the presenting sponsor of the Chairman’s Function matchday corporate experience.
The renewed contract will be valid until the end of the 2018/19 season. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Ian Robson, chief executive of Melbourne Victory, said: “AGL has been a tremendous partner of our great club for three seasons now, and we look forward to their continued involvement.”
Sandra de Castro, AGL Energy’s general manager of sales and marketing, said: “We value the strong relationship developed through our partnership, as well as the opportunity to connect with a passionate fan base and an extensive corporate network.
“We are delighted to re-sign with Melbourne Victory for another two years. Our partnership has been highly successful over the past three years and we have no doubt this will continue.”
Melbourne Victory finished second in the A-League in 2016/17, and will be hoping to go one better when they start the new season against reigning champions Sydney FC on 7th October.
