Hilton has extended its corporate partnership with the McLaren-Honda Formula One team until the end of 2021.
The two-year agreement will see Hilton expand its activation programme, which recently announced a competition for a young fan to be McLaren’s official mascot at this year’s British Grand Prix at Silverstone. The deal will also lead to increased branding on team drivers’ overalls, while Hilton will be given the opportunity to choose from its portfolio of 14 brand logos to promote on the British F1 team’s race cars.
Hilton first became a partner of McLaren in 2005.
“It’s wonderful to be able to announce a further extension to our longstanding partnership with Hilton - a relationship that has been prosperous and fruitful for over a decade,” said Zak Brown, McLaren Technology’s group executive director. “At McLaren, we fully understand the value and positives of long-term relationships, and this extension further underlines the mutual benefit that comes from operating together.”
“Having worked with McLaren for more than 12 years, we are delighted to be extending our partnership with the team until 2021,” said Chris Silcock, Hilton’s executive vice president and chief commercial officer. “At Hilton, we always strive to offer exceptional experiences to our guests and it is through fantastic partnerships like this that we are able to bring that to life, both on and off the track! With both companies so closely aligned on driving innovation and global opportunities, we are excited about what the next four years have in store.”
McLaren currently sit at the bottom of the Formula One constructors’ championship, with the next Grand Prix scheduled to take place in Barcelona, Spain, this Sunday.
