Formula One motor racing team McLaren have announced a multi-year partnership with FxPro, the London-based online broker.
Under the terms of the agreement, FxPro’s branding will feature prominently on the British outfit’s race car, starting with this weekend’s prestigious Monaco Grand Prix.
"We are pleased to welcome FxPro as an official partner to the McLaren Formula One team,” said McLaren Racing chief executive Zak Brown. “Both FxPro and McLaren are committed to innovation and excellence in their fields, making this a natural partnership."
“We are proud to be entering this multi-year partnership with McLaren, a team with an illustrious history and exciting future,” added Charalambos Psimolophitis, chief executive of FxPro. “We always look for partners that share our passion for excellence and success, and McLaren embodies those values perfectly."
The news comes in the same week that McLaren Group, the parent company of the Formula One team, revealed a £203.8 million (US$277.2 million) investment boost from Michael Latifi, giving the Canadian businessman a stake of around ten per cent in the business.
McLaren go into this weekend’s Monaco Grand Prix in fifth place in Formula One’s constructors’ standings.
