Premier League soccer giants Manchester United have agreed a partnership with Indian finance group ICICI Bank.
As part of the multi-year deal, ICICI customers will be offered a variety of club-related offers – including the chance to win trips to watch games at Old Trafford. The English top-flight club are thought to have around 35 million followers in India.
Manchester United group managing director Richard Arnold said: “The club has enjoyed numerous visits to India over the past few seasons, with our #ILOVEUNITED fan event held in Mumbai in January, attracting almost 5,000 fans to the live match screening.
“Our partnership with ICICI Bank means we can continue to engage and communicate with these loyal fans whilst offering them quality financial products from one of India’s most reputable banking groups.”
Fans will be given club gifts when purchasing a branded Manchester United credit card, while top spenders will have the chance to be offered match tickets, stadium tours and signed jerseys.
Anup Bagchi, ICICI Bank’s executive director added: “This collaboration further underscores our commitment to deliver innovative, powerful and distinctive value propositions to our customers.”
United have suffered an indifferent start to their Premier League season, going down 3-2 to Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
