Mammoth Resorts has agreed a deal with National Hockey League (NHL) side the Los Angeles Kings to become the team’s official ski resort partner for the 2017/18 season.
The new agreement, brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, sees the ski resort sponsor a number of ski-themed in-game activations, including on-ice intermission promotions.
Mammoth Resorts is also to provide Kings fans with enhanced programming, promotions and game-day experiences and giveaways throughout the season.
In addition, the ski operator will collaborate with the NHL outfit to create promotional content across both entities’ social and digital media platforms.
"The Kings are a huge source of pride in Los Angeles," said Jimmy Huh, director of business development at Mammoth Resorts. "Partnering with such an iconic team provides us with a unique opportunity to further showcase our big mountain skiing and riding experiences to Southern California's legendary sports fanbase.
“We look forward to being a part of the Kings' renowned track record of success, along with the ability to serve the Los Angeles community together."
"As a leader in the ski resort industry, this new agreement with Mammoth Resorts is consistent with our strategy to partner with the best of the best," added Josh Veilleux, Los Angeles Kings’ vice president of corporate partnerships. "We're proud to be kicking off the 2017/18 NHL season with Mammoth by our side and believe that this partnership will further enhance our ability to amplify the game-day experience for our fans."
The Los Angeles Kings finished fifth in the NHL Pacific Division in 2017/18, and currently stand top of the league in the 2017/18 season after claiming ten wins from 13 games. They took three points from the St Louis Blues on 31st October with a 4-2 win, and host the Nashville Predators on Sunday.
