National Football League (NFL) team the Los Angeles Chargers have announced telecommunications company Rokit as their official wireless partner.
As part of the multi-year agreement, the firm also becomes the title sponsor of the team’s stadium, Rokit Field at StubHub Center.
Beginning with the team’s pre-season match on 18th August against the Seattle Seahawks, the American telco will enter into a fully integrated marketing partnership with the Chargers, taking part in a variety of activations. Rokit will also support community initiatives to honour active and retired military servicemen.
As part of the Rokit Field sponsorship, the company’s branding will be featured on signage at the StubHub Center and on the stadium’s LED video board and advertising boards, as well as being integrated across the team’s digital and social media channels.
Jonathan Kendrick, co-founder of Rokit, said: “The Chargers continue to be champions for the community, supporting the greater Los Angeles area through a variety of military service-related programs and initiatives. Our new partnership will enable Rokit to build upon these shared values, and introduce fans to a new, easy way to access wireless services and critical life services.”
A G Spanos, the franchise’s president of business operations, added: “We are excited at this unique partnership with telecommunications brand innovator Rokit, one that brings together two organisations committed to providing the best in experience and service to our fans.
“Rokit Field at StubHub Center will be home to one of the most exciting game day environments in the NFL, and we cannot wait to kick off our home schedule there this Saturday.”
