Liverpool Football Club has officially announced a new agreement with Turkish betting company

According to a statement on the Premier League club's official website, Liverpool's agreement with Misli is the latest in a series of deals making up a 'geo-targeted betting strategy'.

Previously the club has agreed similar contracts with Paddy Power for the UK, Ireland and Italy and with 188Bet, who hold the title of Liverpool's international bettting partner.

As per the previous agreements, Misli's partnership with Liverpool will be exclusive to the Turkish market.

"All football fans know that Liverpool FC has a special connection with Turkey, especially since our Champions League win in Istanbul back in 2005," said Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre. "We recently completed a TV series in Turkey called Soccer Prince which has enhanced our profile in the country and our partnerships with Turkey Tourism and Ramsey demonstrate the value that we're delivering to organisations in Turkey. When you mix all of those ingredients together, alongside the exciting promotions we plan to run with, the signs look good for a successful partnership."

Misli chief executive Baris Telkin added, " is very proud to be the exclusive betting partner for Liverpool Football Club in Turkey. This deal shows commitment to our 300,000 customers, bringing a global sports club closer to home. Through this partnership we hope to build on our customer base and offer some really exciting activity linked to Liverpool Football Club."
