LFC TV, the subscription-based television channel owned and operated by English soccer side Liverpool FC, has secured exclusive rights in the UK and Ireland to two of Brazil’s warm-up matches for this summer’s Fifa World Cup in Russia.

The Brazil national team’s fixture against Croatia, which took place at Anfield on Sunday and saw the South American side win 2-0, was broadcast on Liverpool’s TV and digital channels, while live coverage of Brazil’s clash against Austria on 10th June at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna is set to be featured.

Liverpool players Roberto Firmino and Phillipe Coutinho returned to Anfield to represent Brazil on the weekend, as well as fellow Reds man, Dejan Lovren for Croatia. Both Brazilian stars are also likely to play in the Austria fixture.

The news comes after MUTV recently agreed a similar deal which sees in-house channel broadcast three of Belgium’s World Cup warm-up games, including fixtures against Portugal, Egypt and Costa Rica.

The 2018 Fifa World Cup is due to kick off on 14th June.
