Top-tier Spanish soccer team Levante Unión Deportiva have announced an extension of their partnership with CaixaBank for a further three seasons.
The Spanish financial services company will be an official sponsor of the La Liga outfit until 2020.
CaixaBank first partnered with Levante in 2014, and recently agreed a deal with fellow La Liga side and city rivals Valencia CF until 2021.
The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
“With this agreement, the company is closer to the fans with a club that stands out for their work, humility and perseverance." said Filipe Pulido, commercial director of CaixaBank.
"It makes us proud that a prestigious entity such as CaixaBank wants to continue working with ours," said Quico Catalán, president of Levante. “CaixaBank provides maximum commitment to the club and this commitment is what we have also shown during these years. It is another important step for Levante UD.”
Levante UD were league winners of Spanish second-tier the Segunda División in 2016/17, leading to their promotion to La Liga for the 2017/18 season. They are currently 14th in the league, after winning two and drawing six of their opening 11 games. After losing 2-1 to Girona FC on Sunday, they will look for a win against UD Las Palmas when La Liga returns on 19th November.
