AXS TV Fights renews Legacy deal

US television channel AXS TV Fights has signed a new multi-year broadcast agreement with the Legacy Fighting Championship.

US television channel AXS TV Fights has signed a new multi-year broadcast agreement with the Legacy Fighting Championship.

Under the new agreement the network will broadcast 12 live Legacy events in 2014, twice as many as in 2012. 

"Legacy Fighting Championship has brought us some of the most exciting fights in MMA this year," said AXS TV Fights’ chief executive Andrew Simon in the press release.

"This new deal represents our commitment to bringing some of the best sports entertainment in the world to AXS TV."

Legacy Fighting Championship’s president Nick Maynard added: "Legacy Fighting Championship is excited to sign this new long-term deal with AXS TV and remain part of the network's Friday night fights series, one of the leading live mixed martial arts event programs in history."

Carlos Ferreira defeated Jorge Patino in the top card of the most recent Legacy event, LFC 25, in Houston, Texas.
