Italian soccer side SS Lazio are to renew their partnership with car manufacturer Renault for the 2017/18 season.
The new deal marks the third consecutive season that the carmaker has sponsored the Serie A outfit.
As part of the extended agreement, Renault will see its brand given visibility at the team’s Stadio Olimpico home ground on LED screens around the pitch and on the giant stadium display. The company is also to have its branding on panels behind interviews, the club’s social media channels, and the Stadio Olimpico’s hospitality areas.
Renault, which has operations in Rome, will collaborate with the soccer team’s local publicity and events.
“The sponsorship of Lazio, which has now reached the third consecutive year, has so far resulted in excellent results for both partners,” said Francesco Fontana-Giusti, communications director at Renault. “We aim to always satisfy the expectations of Biancoceleste fans.”
Marco Canigiani, marketing manager for Lazio, added: “The partnership with Renault continuing is a sign of mutual satisfaction. We are increasingly involved with Renault’s friends and our supporters, in the light of the initiatives that have involved them in these years, such as Renault Day at Formello, friendly match at Fersini and other dealerships. The course is set and we are sure that this season there will be stimulating initiatives for fans of Lazio.”
Lazio have made a solid start to the 2017/18 season, currently standing fourth in the league after four wins from six games. The side gained a decisive 3-0 victory away to Verona on 24th September, and will host Zulte-Waregem in the Uefa Europa League on Thurday.
