Land Rover has taken the presenting rights to this week's Extreme Sailing Series regatta in Cardiff, part of its wide-reaching deal to be a main partner of the series.
The car manufacturer will also support a team at the event in the Welsh capital, with the Team Wales Land Rover entry fielding some of the country's young sailing talent.
Earlier this year Land Rover signed up to fill one of two main partner roles in the Extreme Sailing Series. The other position has yet to be filled.
Mark Cameron, Land Rover's global brand experience director, said: "It's exciting times - this is the first time the Land Rover Extreme 40 will be racing in the Extreme Sailing Series as a competitor in this first year of our sponsorship of the global circuit.
"We are delighted to be supporting a predominantly Welsh youth team, some of whom have their sights firmly set on the Olympics in Rio in 2016, and to be supporting them racing in their home waters, particularly as the United Kingdom is the headquarters of Land Rover."
Racing in Cardiff, the sixth of eight acts in this year's series, begins on Friday.
