AEG has announced a new sponsorship deal that designates Universal Studios Hollywood as the first-ever theme park partner of the Los Angeles Galaxy and their StubHub Center home.
The multi-year agreement also sees the LA tourist attraction become a founding partner of StubHub Center, where a new video display - the largest in professional soccer in North America - is being installed complete with Universal Studios’ globe logo.
The display, which measures more than 20 feet high and 53 feet wide, will debut at the Galaxy’s Major League Soccer (MLS) clash with Houston Dynamo this coming Saturday, and will remain in place for the duration of the partnership.
“Bringing together two internationally recognisable brands such as the LA Galaxy and Universal Studios Hollywood is the perfect partnership to promote the excitement, family atmosphere, and entertainment that we create for Galaxy fans at StubHub Center,” said Galaxy president Chris Klein.
“We are constantly looking for ways to enhance the guest experience and this partnership will help to raise the bar even higher.”
The agreement was brokered by AEG Global Partnerships, the sponsorship division of sports and entertainment company AEG, and also includes in-stadium signage and a range of promotional content to be delivered across social and digital platforms.
