Gaming audio brand Turtle Beach has announced a partnership with Knicks Gaming, the esports team of the National Basketball Association’s (NBA) New York Knicks.
The deal will see Turtle Beach serve as the Knicks Gaming’s official gaming peripherals partner for the inaugural edition of the NBA 2K League esports competition.
Knicks Gaming players will use Turtle Beach headsets at the Knicks Gaming training facilities, while the two parties will collaborate to produce a variety of content over the 2018 season.
“We’re thrilled to be an integral part of the Knicks Gaming organisation during the founding year of the NBA 2K League,” said Juergen Stark, chief executive of Turtle Beach. “Our headsets deliver a distinct competitive advantage through pinpoint accurate audio and clear team chat. Having the Knicks Gaming players using Turtle Beach audio equipment to train with and then dominate in their games will be a joy to watch.”
“Turtle Beach gaming peripherals are unmatched in their ability to provide a clear advantage for our players, which makes Turtle Beach the perfect partner for Knicks Gaming,” added Kristin Bernert, general manager at Knicks Gaming.
The first ever NBA 2K draft took place on 4th April, with Knicks Gaming selecting 9th overall and welcoming Dayvon “GOOFY757” Curry as the first ever member of the Knicks Gaming organisation.
NBA 2K League play begins with the tip-off tournament from 1st to 5th May and runs through until the end of August 2018.
