Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Kings XI Punjab have announced Kent RO as their new title sponsor for the upcoming edition of the world-leading Twenty20 cricket tournament.
The water purifier brand has replaced Hero group-owned Hero Cycles as the team’s title sponsor.
Although the exact value of the deal has not been disclosed, Insidesport.co reports that the new contract is worth up to 40 per cent more to Punjab. The team’s chief executive, Satish Menon, confirmed that the Kings XI are getting better traction from the sponsors this year and their partner roster is nearly complete.
“We are getting an overwhelming response from the brands who are looking forward to target the local market in Punjab,” added Menon. “We are happy that 90 per cent of our inventory is sold out.”
Kings XI have also confirmed deals with Royal Stag, detergent brand Fena and Lotus Herbals.
