Second-tier German soccer side Kaiserslautern have announced KSC Reifen Stephan as their first ever sleeve sponsor.
Under the terms of the deal, the German tyre company’s logo will adorn the 2. Bundesliga team’s home and away shirts until 30th June 2018. KSC Reifen Stephan will also have a strong brand presence through pitchside LED boards at Kaiserslautern’s home ground, the Fritz-Walter-Stadion.
KSC Reifen Stephan, which has been based in Kaiserslautern since 1974, will also enjoy promotional activations across the club’s digital and social media platforms. The financial terms of the one-year agreement have not been made public.
“As a fan [of Kaiserslautern] and managing director of the oldest independent tyre service in Kaiserslautern, I am proud to announce this association,” said Martin Lisicin, managing director of KSC Reifen Stephan. “Perhaps this partnership can encourage even more companies from our city to support our local side.
"We are very pleased to have found a regional partner who supports us with full conviction and are convinced that the partnership will be a success for both parties becomes."
With only one victory to their name this season, Kaiserslautern are currently bottom of the 2. Bundesliga table after ten fixtures. They host fellow strugglers MSV Duisburg next on 22nd October.
