England cricketer James Anderson has become a brand ambassador for Thomas Cook Sport.
The Lancashire bowler, who is his country's all-time leading wicket-taker, will appear in a range of marketing campaigns for the specialist travel operator. The 34-year-old will be on hand to promote tours to Formula One race weekends, Premier League soccer match breaks, the Thomas Cook Sport Terrace facility at the Emirates Old Trafford international cricket ground in Manchester, and this winter's Ashes cricket series between Australia and England.
"I’m delighted to be partnering with Thomas Cook Sport," said Anderson. "I’ve always been passionate about sport and will be happy to promote their sporting experiences; I might even get to go on one or two! This is a big year for both myself and Thomas Cook Sport, so it feels a great time to come on board with them."
Rob Slawson, the head of Thomas Cook Sport, added: "We are thrilled to announce Jimmy as an ambassador for our brand and couldn't have asked to work with a better sportsperson. Our product range has grown significantly in this last 12 months and we’re confident that working with Jimmy will help increase the awareness of our exclusive offerings in a variety of sports."
