Jacksonville Jaguars land Ocean Holidays deal

Essex-based firm becomes the first UK holiday provider to partner with an NFL team.

Jacksonville Jaguars land Ocean Holidays deal

The National Football League’s (NFL) Jacksonville Jaguars have announced a new two-year partnership with Ocean Holidays.

The holiday provider will serve as the Florida-based franchise’s official travel supplier in the UK during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. The travel agency will also be listed as the club’s new official corporate travel partner through its luxury travel management company, Winged Boots, which will manage the team’s travel to and from Wembley Stadium during future NFL London games.

The agreement will allow customers of the Essex-headquartered company to buy Jacksonville Jaguars NFL holiday packages, which will include tickets and transfers to see the team play at their EverBank Field home. The collaboration marks the first time such an offer will be available from a UK holiday provider.

The Jaguars are the only NFL team to have made a multi-year commitment to play regular season matches in the UK, and have featured in a fixture at Wembley Stadium annually since 2013, most recently defeating the Baltimore Ravens 44-7 in September.

Hussain Naqi, senior vice president of international development for the Jacksonville Jaguars, said: “This partnership illustrates exactly what the Jacksonville Jaguars are about – collaborating with like-minded transatlantic businesses to create new experiences and opportunities that excite our fans.

“The unique service Ocean Holidays provide means that there’s no better way for Jaguars fans from the UK to sample the best that Jacksonville has to offer, and to experience the energy of a game day at EverBank Field.”

Harry Hastings, co-chief executive of Ocean Holidays, added: “We are thrilled to announce this exciting partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The popularity of the NFL is increasing exponentially in the UK, and this deal will give NFL fans unparalleled access to tickets and experiences both in the UK and USA.”

The Jaguars consolidated their position in second place of the NFL’s AFC South Division with a thrilling 20-17 overtime victory against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. They play their next game away to the Cleveland Browns on 19th November.
