Event organisers Relevent Sports and Catalyst Media Group have announced six sponsors for the Chinese leg of pre-season soccer tournament the International Champions Cup (ICC).
Kaisa Culture Group will be the strategic match promoter and take responsibility for ticket distribution. The ICC has also secured partnerships with car manufacturer Audi, German organisation Der Floor, Emirates Airlines and Chinese company Wuciyuan Herbal Products. It has also agreed a charitable arrangement with Neo Online.
“Since we brought ICC to China two years ago, we have achieved 91 percent brand awareness amongst Chinese football fans, attracted over 100 million TV viewers and our social media reach doubled year-on-year to 79 million,” said Patrick Murphy, president of Catalyst Media Group. “The ICC has truly revolutionized the pre-season touring experience for players, fans and commercial partners. We are now well established in China, so 2017 we aim to bring evolution in key areas.”
The ICC China also revealed its 2017 teams. Italian giants AC Milan and Inter, the German Bundesliga’s Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, and the Premier League’s Arsenal will each play four matches in Guangzhou, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Nanjing.
