Industrial Automation and Control (IAC) has extended and enhanced its commercial agreement with Welsh rugby union team the Dragons.
The Newport-based company, which is one of the leading industrial control systems integrators in the UK, had previously been a second-tier sponsor of the Dragons. The new deal will see IAC’s logo located on the right hand shoulder of the Welsh province’s home and away jerseys throughout the 2017/18 Pro 14 season.
IAC will continue to have a strong brand presence at the Dragons’ home ground, Rodney Parade. The financial terms of the revised agreement have not been made public.
“IAC have been a partner of the Dragons for many years,” said Dai Jenkins, commercial sales manager at the Dragons. “The company is an avid supporter of the region and has a business in South Africa which works hand-in-hand with the expansion of the Guinness Pro14.
“It’s a very exciting time for the company and we are delighted that they have chosen us to help promote their brand.”
Dragons currently lie second-bottom of the newly formed Conference B in Guinness Pro14, an annual club competition involving sides from Ireland, Italy, Scotland, South Africa and Wales.
