Houston Texans NFL star pens grocery endorsement
J.J. Watt, a defensive linesman for National Football League (NFL) franchise the Houston Texans, has agreed a personal endorsement deal with US supermarket chain H-E-B Grocery Company.
The deal will see the 23-year-old become a spokesman for the Texas-based company, for whom he has already featured in a number of tailgating advertising campaigns, and promote his favourite H-E-B products in a new solo campaign.
The partnership will extend to Watt’s charity, the Justin J. Watt Foundation, which provides support to after-school athletic programs. The exact terms of the agreement were not released.
“H-E-B is honoured to partner with J.J. Watt and believe he is a natural choice to represent our company,” said Scott McClelland, president, Houston division. “Over the last two years, J.J. has demonstrated that he shares H-E-B’s commitment to the Houston community while embracing the ‘Spirit of Giving’ philosophy H-E-B is known for in giving back to those in need.”
