Australian Football League (AFL) team Hawthorn Hawks have agreed a three-year partnership with Australian internet service provider iiNet.
The deal will see iiNet’s logo appear on the back of the Hawks’ playing jerseys and branded apparel for the next three AFL seasons. Though the financial terms of the agreement were not released, sponsorship deals of this nature in the AFL are typically worth in the region of US$1 million annually.
Hawthorn chief executive Stuart Fox said: “We are delighted to have an organisation the calibre of iiNet partnered with the club, as the close synergies between our respective brands makes for a great fit and will deliver wide-reaching benefits for both organisations.”
Fox continued: “In iiNet, Hawthorn has found an organisation that values investment in innovation and best practice, and we look forward to further engaging our supporters with ground-breaking match-day activations and providing member households with advanced technology through the partnership.”
