Chinese top-tier soccer side Guangzhou Evergrande have announced a strategic partnership with Shanghai Pudong Development (SPD) Bank.
Under the terms of the deal, the Chinese bank will collaborate with the Chinese Super League (CSL) team to launch a co-branded credit card in China, which will feature images of Evergrande players or the club’s badge.
In addition, cardholders will be offered sportswear and club merchandise gifts, as well as a series of discounts with the Chinese outfit’s partners. There will also be opportunities to meet the Evergrande players.
The financial details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
In December 2016, SPD released a similar credit card in partnership with Spanish side FC Barcelona.
Guangzhou Evergrande have won the CSL title seven years on the trot, and stand six points clear at the top of the league in the 2017. They were defeated 3-0 away to Hebei CFFC on 29th October, and will host Tianjin Quanjian on Saturday.
