Gold Coast announces another partner

Telecommunications provider Optus has entered into a strategic partnership with the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games Corporation (GOLDOC).

Under the terms of the deal, the Australian company will become the official support network of the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games and, in addition, a sponsor of the Australian Commonwealth Games team.

Optus will supply all of the Commonwealth Games’ main venues with a bespoke high-speed telecommunications infrastructure. It will also have a strong brand presence at the host stadiums in the Queensland, Australia city.

John Paitaridis, the managing director of Optus Business, said: “Optus will be delivering an integrated communications solution to one of the biggest global events in 2018 and we are proud to be the official support network of the Australian Commonwealth Games Team.”

The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games runs from 4th to 15th April.
