Dedicated soccer website Goal.com has announced a deal with Sela Sport to cover the Arab Club Championship, the Union of Arab Football Associations’ (UAFA) annual continental club competition.
Under the terms of the agreement, Goal.com will stream exclusive content, news and video from the region's most prestigious soccer tournament, which has returned to UAFA’s calendar after a three-year hiatus.
“We are very happy to announce this partnership,” said Emre Ugurlu, managing director in Turkey, MENA and Eastern Europe at Goal.com’s parent company Perform. “Our aim is to further promote the region’s growing soccer culture. Sela is a very important player in this region and we are proud to partner with them for the Arab Championship.
“As an official partner, we will not only act as a content provider, but also help the Arab Championship exploit its major overseas potential.”
The 2017 Arab Club Championship will be played in the Egyptian cities of Cairo and Alexandria between 21st July and 5th August. It will feature 12 teams, who will be divided into three groups, and the winners plus a best second-placed side will go through to the semi-finals.
