Scottish rugby union side Glasgow Warriors have announced an extension of their partnership with The Famous Grouse.
The whisky brand’s owner, the Edrington Group, will sponsor the Pro14 club for a further two years.
The Famous Grouse will contribute to matchday hospitality at the Warriors’ Scotstoun Stadium until May 2019, providing guests with beverages and dining experiences.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
The Scotch company first partnered with the Glasgow Warriors in 2010.
“We are very proud to continue our longstanding partnership with Scotland's favourite whisky,” said Nathan Bombrys, managing director of Glasgow Warriors. “The Famous Grouse has played a big part over the years in creating the Glasgow Warriors experience at Scotstoun and beyond.
“We are excited that The Famous Grouse has chosen to extend their association with us, which will take us into our ninth year. We look forward to working with their team and building on our successful partnership.”
Glasgow Warriors are currently top of rugby union league the Pro14’s Conference A in 2017/18, after winning all ten of their opening games. They beat Cardiff Blues 40-16 at the Scotstoun Stadium on 1st December, and will face Edinburgh away on 23rd December.
