The athletics division of Georgia Tech university has entered a six-year partnership with Adidas.
Starting from July 2018, the German sportswear giant will be the exclusive supplier of uniforms, apparel, footwear and accessories to all 17 Yellow Jackets varsity teams until 2024.
The deal will also see the two parties collaborate to move sport forward on the field for the college’s athletes, and off the field through enhanced fan engagement and community development.
The agreement ends Georgia Tech’s affiliation with American brand Russell Athletic. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Based on our shared values of innovation and excellence, Adidas is the ideal partner for Georgia Tech Athletics," said Todd Stansbury, Georgia Tech’s director of athletics. “We’re thrilled to be a part of the Adidas family. We look forward to collaborating with Adidas to provide our student-athletes and fans with the most cutting-edge athletic gear in the marketplace and to amplify the Georgia Tech Athletics brand in Atlanta and beyond.”
