Geico gets green light for WorldSBK race

For the fourth consecutive year, American insurance group Geico has been named as the title sponsor for the US round of the Superbike World Championship.

The event will be the eighth round of this year’s edition of the motorcycle racing series, and is scheduled to take place between 7th and 9th July at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in California.

“To have Geico support the US round once again is fantastic news for the World Superbike Championship, and one which we are very proud to announce,” said Marc Saurina, World Superbike’s commercial and marketing director.

“Geico is such an important and influential company in the US, and for us to have such a strong relationship with them shows the importance of our championship to the US. Mirroring our passion for motorsport, Geico Motorcycle is the perfect sponsor for the weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.”

“We are thrilled to team up with one of the premier motorcycle events in the country,” added Geico’s vice president Ted Ward. “The Superbike World Championship promises some great racing and an even greater opportunity for us to enhance our interactions with passionate race fans.”
