Athletics: Insurance firm Generali has expanded its partnership with the Munich Marathon to become the title sponsor of the race for three years until 2020. According to Sponsors.de, the deal is worth an annual sum in the mid six-figure range.

Also in athletics: Italian track and field equipment supplier Sportissimo has signed a five-figure deal with World Para Athletics until the end of 2018. The two parties will also work together to develop new products for para-athletics disciplines.

Golf: Specialist travel firm Your Golf Travel has become a partner of the British Masters. The company will be entitled to promote its holiday packages at the European Tour event, which is being played at Close House in Newcastle-upon-Tyne from 28th September to 1st October, and will be giving attendees the chance to win trips to the favourite golf destinations of English star Lee Westwood.

College sports: Ridesharing company Lyft has become a partner of Boston College Athletics. Attendees at BC home games at Alumni Stadium and Conte Forum will be able to use specific drop-off and pick-up zones and take advantage of US$10 discounts on game days.

Also in college sports: Vibrating fitness platform Power Plate has become the official fitness technology partner of the Northwestern Wildcats in a three-year deal which includes supply elements and promotional rights at the university's home football games.

Surfing: The International Surfing Association (ISA) has confirmed that the 2018 World Longboard Championship will be held in Wanning in Hainan Island, China from 19th to 25th January.

Esports: Chinese social media platform Weibo will carry live coverage of the 2017 League of Legends video game series world finals, which will be played from 23rd September to 4th November.

Soccer: Frankfurt-based radiotherapy company Saphir has become a sponsor of fourth-tier German soccer team FSV Frankfurt for the rest of the Regionalliga Sudwest season.
