Friday’s Daily Deal Round-Up: Cricket on ice and more

Cricket: Sony ESPN secured the Indian broadcast rights to the St Moritz Cricket on Ice event, which was played in the Swiss ski resort on 8th and 9th February and featured appearances from high-profile former international stars like Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi and Jacques Kallis. Indian dairy brand Amul took the title sponsorship.

More cricket: Motorcycle manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has become the title sponsor of the Twenty20 cricket international tri-series between Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh next month. The Hero Nidahas Trophy, which is intended to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Sri Lankan independence, will be played at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo from 6th to 8th March.

Also in cricket: Indian women's national team cricketer Smriti Mandhana has agreed a personal endorsement deal with footwear brand Bata.

Rugby: Top-tier English rugby league champions Leeds Rhinos have expanded their sponsorship deal with Kong Media. The company's logo, which already appears on the Super League side's warm-up shirts, will now also be placed on the sleeves of their playing jerseys.

Motorsport: Marine and watersports superstore Overton’s has been confirmed as the title sponsor of all three Nascar races at Chicagoland Speedway in 2018: the Overton's 225 in the Camping World Truck Series on 29th June, the Overton's 300 in the Xfinity Series on 30th June, and the Overton's 400 in the Monster Energy Cup Series on 1st July.

Also in motorsport: Brighton-based Corrigan Oil will be the title sponsor of this season's Nascar Camping World Truck Series race at Michigan International Speedway. The third-tier US stock-car race will take place on 11th August.

More motorsport: Korean carmaker Hyundai and Bryan Herta Autosport will collaborate on an entry into the Pirelli World Challenge Touring Car Racing series in 2018.

Sumo: The organisers of The Ultimate Sumo League have confirmed plans for a debut event at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, USA on 28th April. Up to 12 events are in the works for later in 2018.

Volleyball: The International Volleyball Federation has awarded the hosting rights to the inaugural FIVB Men's Volleyball League Finals to the French city of Lille. The event will take place at the Stade Pierre Mauroy, a multi-purpose venue which is also home to French soccer club Lille OSC, from 4th to 8th July.

Skiing: Almond foods producer Blue Diamond has renewed as a sponsor of US Ski & Snowboard, continuing a partnership which dates back to 2014.
